The key to a successful work from home opportunity boils down to this.  Can you make enough money to justify leaving your job?  When you work from home, there needs to be multiple income levels so you can get dependable money, and potentially high volume money.  That often involves multiple income strategies that cover diverse avenues of income generation.  If you’re ready to get started, then we’ll jump right in with our guide on how to Work From Home!

Work From Home; Freelancing

If you’ve ever considered how to Work From Home, then you’ve probably considered freelancing.  Depending on your skill sets, freelancing can be very lucrative.  If you have a good command of the English language, you can get your start doing content writing.  Content writing is easy to do, but the starting pay outs aren’t very stellar.  In the past, I’ve used sites like Elance and Upwork to do this kind of writing, and the real money didn’t start flowing until I had about 15 jobs completed.  But if you have real world experience writing, it can be easier to jump in and start making money fast.  If you have skills, then remote web development is really where the money is at.  I’ve gotten offers of upward of 20k to build websites from scratch.  Is it a lot of work?  Sure, but the pay is worth it.

Tip
When freelancing, it’s always better to overbid a contract than underbid. Even if you don’t get the job, you don’t want to make less than your time is worth. When starting out, it’s pretty common to pad your experience with low paying jobs, so keep that in mind as well.

Work From Home; Online Sales

I don’t know if they taught you this at school, but by now you probably know that you need to buy low, sell high!  It’s economics 101.  You’ve probably heard of amazon, ebay, craigslist, etc., but it’s really hard to make money on sites that call for a big percentage commission on sales.  Does that mean that you can’t make money doing it?  Hell no!  You can make a ton of money flipping physical stuff on sales sites.  One of the best under-explored niches that I’ve had success with is buying and reselling clothes.  By checking out thrift stores, you can take advantage of people getting rid of high end brands that are barely used and then resell them on sites like Poshmark.  If you can find vintage stuff, it’s even easier because it has the expectation of being worn.  Be warned though, you do need to have a good eye for fashion, and have fairly popular taste.
